Don't Let Finals Get You Down – Relax With Cougar Countdown!
Cougar Countdown gives students plenty of opportunities to relax and re-center themselves as they head into finals.
The College of Charleston is gearing up for end of semester finals. Annually, the Division of Student Affairs and the Office of the Provost/Division of Academic Affairs join to execute Cougar Countdown, an array of non-academic activities planned for the students prior to final exams. This semester’s Countdown is Dec. 2–4, 2024.
“Cougar Countdown provides energizing and stress-relieving activities for students during final exam week,” says Lindy Coleman, director of the Center for Student Learning. “Cougar Countdown has been a tradition at the College of Charleston since 2009 and has consistently provided end-of-semester encouragement and support for the last 30 exam weeks!”
Many events take place on Rivers Green so that it is convenient for students traveling the path between their exam locations and Addlestone Library to stop and take a 5- to 10-minute break – whether that break is to pet a therapy dog, get a coffee, decorate a cookie or take a selfie with Clyde or President Andrew T. Hsu!
