For the sixth consecutive year, the College of Charleston Board of Trustees voted on June 2, 2025, to hold tuition constant for South Carolina students. The board also voted to slightly increase tuition for out-of-state students by 1.45% for the 2025-26 academic year.

Beginning fall semester 2025, full-time undergraduate students from South Carolina will pay $6,259 per semester. Out-of-state, full-time undergraduate students will pay $19,192 per semester. Graduate students’ tuition is based on a program-dependent, two-tiered system.

“The Board’s vote underscores our institution’s unwavering commitment to both access and excellence,” says College of Charleston President Andrew T. Hsu. “By keeping tuition steady for South Carolina residents for a sixth straight year, we are honoring our promise to provide a top-tier education that is not only respected nationwide but also affordable for families across our state.”

“At the College of Charleston, we are deeply committed to keeping education within reach,” says Board chair Renee Romberger. “With the continued support of the South Carolina General Assembly, we’ve been able to hold tuition steady for our in-state students and keep increases for out-of-state students modest – because we believe that every student deserves access to a high-quality, affordable education.”
