Charleston County’s landfill is filling up fast. Officials are looking for land for a new one
Summer Coish, an adjunct professor of environmental and sustainability studies and international studies at the College of Charleston, said building a new landfill doesn’t address the root of the issue, which is the overconsumption of goods and mindless disposal of waste.
