The College of Charleston Staff Advisory Committee to the President (SAC) will host a spring staff drop-in on Friday, March 21, 2025. The drop-in will take place from 12–1 p.m. in the President’s House courtyard (6 Glebe St.).

The drop-in is a great opportunity for staff to step away from their desks, recharge over a light lunch and enjoy a relaxing moment getting to know their colleagues from across campus a little better.

Lunch will include ham and Swiss sliders, turkey and provolone sliders, veggie wraps, cucumber sandwiches, chips and dip, and an assortment of cookies.

In addition, the Cougar Free Store will be on site, so staff can shop the racks and learn more! SAC will also be collecting nonperishables for the Cougar Pantry, the student-led organization created to combat food insecurity among CofC students. Staff are invited to bring donations to the drop-in. Find out what the Cougar Pantry’s top needs are here.

SAC represents employees across all units of the College, including approximately 1,000 full- and part-time exempt and nonexempt staff members. The purpose of SAC is to advise the president about staff opinions concerning matters of importance to the staff and institution, to receive the president’s requests for advice and counsel regarding matters relevant to the staff, to increase awareness of the staff’s contributions to the College, to promote the recognition of outstanding staff and to advocate for ongoing initiatives supporting employee success and wellbeing.
