The College of Charleston will hold two in-person town hall meetings on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 – one for faculty and staff at 2 p.m. and one for students at 4 p.m. – in the Rita Liddy Hollings Science Center, room 101.

The meetings will address the College’s resolution instructing the administration to realign DEI-specific support centers on campus in order to continue student services while eliminating any restriction on those services which may be based on race, gender or sexual orientation, as deemed in compliance with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights’ current interpretation of federal law and the new state statute related to DEI.

“I know these changes may be difficult for many, but I want to reassure everyone on campus that we remain focused and committed to making this institution supportive, inviting and welcoming to all,” says President Andrew T. Hsu. “The College of Charleston today is a space where all students, all faculty and all staff are seen, heard and valued, and it is a place where all can find success. Together, we do that work today – and together, we will do that work tomorrow.”
