College of Charleston Student Turns Heads on 'The Voice'

News Briefs

Sophomore psychology major Grace-Miller Moody performed on the season premiere of "The Voice" on Feb. 3.

Sophomore College of Charleston psychology major Grace-Miller Moody performed Maroon 5’s “Sunday Morning” on the season premiere of The Voice on Feb. 3. During the blind auditions, Moody earned a four-chair turn, a reaction that less than 10% of the show’s contestants receive.

Hailing from Florence, South Carolina, Moody is influenced by her family, which celebrated her younger brother Shott’s triumphant battle with leukemia at a Maroon 5 concert, a moment that now feels surreal as she performed a Maroon 5 song on stage on the live season premiere.

Beyond her studies at the College, Moody has shared her vocal talent in various karaoke bars. She is passionate about music and psychology and hopes to combine these interests to work in pediatric occupational therapy, using music to heal and inspire others.
