Hundreds of students joined in campuswide Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week activities. Students took part in a special HHAW Habitat for Humanity build; made more than 60 scarves and assembled emergency warming kits for the unhoused in the community; gathered for a Cougar Mall takeover where they crocheted plastic sleeping mats for the unhoused, crafted colorful notes of thanksgiving for Meals on Wheels seniors and collected food for the Cougar Pantry; and delved into the complexities of global hunger at the 2024 Hunger Banquet.
