College Updates Spring 2025 Commencement Schedule

Next year, the College of Charleston will have two commencement ceremonies (at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.) on Friday, May 9, 2025, and one ceremony (at 10 a.m.) on Saturday, May 10, 2025. These changes are aimed at enhancing the commencement experience for our graduates, their families and guests. This is a change from what was previously stated on the College’s website.

The Graduate School will also hold an inaugural hooding ceremony for master’s candidates separate and distinct from the undergraduate ceremonies in the Cistern Yard.

Ceremony Schedule

• Thursday, May 8, time and location TBD, Graduate School
• Thursday, May 8, 9–10:45 a.m., Charleston Music Hall, Honors College
• Friday, May 9, 10 a.m., Cistern Yard, School of Humanities and Social Sciences and School of Languages, Cultures, and World Affairs
• Friday, May 9, 4 p.m., Cistern Yard, School of Health Sciences, School of Education, School of Natural and Environmental Sciences and School of Engineering, Computing, and Mathematics
• Saturday, May 10, 10 a.m., Cistern Yard, School of the Arts and School of Business
