College of Charleston faculty and staff are invited to donate gently used professional clothing through March 29, 2024, for the Cougar Free Store Professional Clothing Pop-Up event on April 1, 2024.

A collaboration between the Center for Civic Engagement, the Center for Sustainable Development and the Career Center, the Professional Clothing Drive and Professional Clothing Pop-Up are designed to outfit students for award ceremonies, interviews, internships and the job market.

Any gently used professional clothing – belts, blouses, dresses, dress shirts, jackets, scarves, shoes, jewelry, skirts, etc. – to help Cougars look their best!

Donation collection bins are located in the following offices across campus:

  • Stern Student Center – front desk
  • School of Business (5 Liberty St.) – near front door
  • Center for Civic Engagement (Lightsey Center) – Room 203
  • Center for Sustainable Development (207 Calhoun St.)
  • Office of Multicultural Student Programs and Services (14 Greenway)
  • Pride Center (9 1/2 Glebe St.)
  • Riley Center (176 Lockwood Drive)

The on-campus pop-event where students can select free professional clothing and learn about inclusive professional attire from Career Center staff will take place 11 a.m.–2 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2024, in the Cougar Mall. Any leftover clothing will then be moved to the Cougar Free Store, located in the Center for Sustainable Development (207 Calhoun St.), which students can access year-round.
