Cougars Face Stony Brook in CAA Finals
The winner will receive an automatic bid into the NCAA basketball tournament.
The top-seeded College of Charleston men’s basketball team will take on No. 7 Stony Brook in the title game of the 2024 Jersey Mike’s CAA Men’s Basketball Championship tonight, March 12, at 7 p.m. The winner of the game will receive an automatic bid into the NCAA basketball Tournament next week.
The game will be broadcast live on the CBS Sports Network. Cougar fans can also listen to the game on the Varsity App.
The Cougars are looking for their second straight league title and trip to March Madness. With a win, the Cougars would become the first team to win back-to-back CAA championships since UNCW in 2016 and 2017.
Charleston earned a spot in the game with a thrilling 61-56 win over Towson in the semifinals. Stony Brook earned their spot in the game with a 63-59 win over Long Island rival No. 2 Hofstra.
The Cougars defeated the Seawolves 93-87 on Jan. 6, 2024, in their only meeting this season in Stony Brook.
The Cougars enter the championship battle with 11 straight wins, the second-longest winning streak in the country behind James Madison.
