On Feb. 22 and 23, 2024, the Mroz Global Leadership Institute brought to campus a tremendous group of distinguished academics and practitioners working on conflict resolution and cooperation in various regions around the world for a summit on “Conflict, Cooperation, and Diplomacy: Perspectives on the Middle East, Latin America, China, and Russia.” (Photos by Catie Cleveland)

Dozens of students joined us for our Pop-Up Service event with Lutheran Carolina Services on Wednesday, 2/21, and helped assemble ‘Welcome to Charleston’ kits for refugees who are resettling in the area. The kits included hygiene and food items. Students also assembled hygiene and activity kits for young refugees.

The College of Charleston Bonner Leaders had a big week, with more than 30 students attending their daylong networking event, “Engage and Empower,” which introduced students with service opportunities at local nonprofits (top). And, at their weekly meeting, they met with S.C. Rep. Jermaine Johnson ’08, talking with him about everything from wellness tips to his journey to the Statehouse (bottom two photos).
