College of Charleston Photos of the Week
Take a look into the busy lives of our students!
From a Habitat for Humanity build and a trip to the International African American Museum, to registering to vote and being dazzled by America’s Got Talent magician Trigg Watson, College of Charleston students are service oriented, educated and engaged members of their greater community – and they know how to have a little fun, too! These photos are just a glimpse into the busy lives of our students!

Eight students braved the cold (“real feel” was 32 degrees!) for the Center for Civic Engagement’s January Habitat for Humanity build. The students helped prepare the home for its foundation pour, ensuring the project stayed on schedule for its next inspection. CCE is organizing more builds in February, March and April. The Cougar Activities Board hosted “A Night of Enchantment” at the Stern Student Center with tarot card and palm readings, as well as a high-impact theatrical performance by magician Trigg Watson, a semifinalist on season 18 of America’s Got Talent, who used interactive technology and modern stage illusion to dazzle the audience. For its first Pop-Up Service event of the semester, the Center for Civic Engagement partnered with the League of Women Voters to register students to vote, provide information, answer questions about absentee voting, challenge students’ know-how about the election process and even give away some merch! An estimated two dozen students registered to vote at the event, with another two dozen taking registration forms home to fill out on their own. (Photos by Center for Civic Engagement)
