The College of Charleston has been named the 2026 PEBA Partners winner for the higher education category.

The College of Charleston has been named the 2026 PEBA Partners winner for the higher education category.
PEBA Partners is an award program honoring employers that demonstrate a dedication to promoting a physically, emotionally and financially healthier workplace. PEBA strives to recognize employers who are setting the bar for workplace wellbeing programs across the state.
The PEBA Partners website states the following:
The College of Charleston is committed to creating a workplace where employees have the resources and opportunities to support their physical, emotional and financial well-being. Recent wellness initiatives have expanded access to preventive care through on-campus mobile mammography and dental screenings, while financial wellness and Medicare seminars help employees make informed decisions for today and the future. Their faculty and staff have also benefited from educational seminars on topics such as sleep health and making healthy food choices. Together, these efforts reflect the college’s commitment to fostering a culture of wellness and supporting employees at every stage of their lives and careers.
“This recognition is a significant accomplishment and positive news for CofC and our employees,” says Vice President of Human Resources Ed Pope, adding that the award reflects the great work that Director of Benefits and Wellness Programs Kisha Galloway has spearheaded at the College. “I am grateful to Kisha and our team for all their work to promote wellness on this campus.”
