5 CofC Spring Alumni Weekend Events You Don't Want to Miss
Spring Alumni Weekend is April 30–May 2!

Spring has officially sprung, and that means the College of Charleston’s Spring Alumni Weekend (April 30–May 2) is just around the corner!
From the flagship favorite A Charleston Affair to school-specific events like the School of Business’ Business and Brunch and the Honors College Alumni Breakfast, the weekend brings CofC alumni back to their alma mater for fun, fellowship and family-friendly functions.
A full schedule of events is available on the SAW website, where you may also register for events and purchase tickets through April 26, or until they sell out.
Take a look at some of this year’s highlights below!

MPA Legacy Ceremony
May 1, 4–6 p.m.
Blacklock House
Registration: $30-50
This reception honors graduating students and alumni of the Masters of Public Administration program.


Black Alumni Council Fish Fry & Fellowship
May 1, 7–10 p.m.
Avery Research Center for African American History and Culture
Registration: $65
This lively gathering brings alumni and friends together to celebrate connection, culture and Cougar pride. With all-you-can-eat fish, an open bar and a DJ spinning throughout the evening, this classic fish fry is a don’t-miss opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni, make new connections and enjoy great vibes at the Avery Research Center.

Community Health Showcase
May 2, 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
Silcox Health Sciences Center
Registration: Free
This family-friendly showcase event will feature the CofC Emergency Medical Services Team, the Palmetto Palace Mobile Health Unit and the School of Health Sciences Fitness and Community Health Testing program. Alumni and friends are invited to stop by for tours of the newly renovated Silcox Center, enjoy a picnic lunch and take part in games in the Silcox Gym.


Celebrating our Education Alumni
May 2, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
School of Education Alumni Center/Courtyard

In addition to celebrating their 2025–26 Alumni and Young Alumni of the Year, the School of Education will reveal and hand out its new School of Education graduation pin.

A Charleston Affair
May 2, 7–10 p.m.

What started as a simple gathering in 1900 has become the nation’s largest garden party: A Charleston Affair! Hosted by the Alumni Association, this annual celebration welcomes new graduates to the alumni family and is the don’t miss event of the weekend! This year, the Fantasy Band will set the tone for an evening full of music, memories and the magic of returning to where it all began.
