This week at the College of Charleston, history met the future and – with music in the air – students linked learning with game.

On April 6, the College took a look back and a look forward when a 2026 time capsule was placed in the cornerstone of the Theodore S. Stern Student Center. Both modern-day items submitted by the CofC community and artifacts recently discovered in a 1974 Stern Student Center time capsule were included. (Photos by Catie Cleveland)

The world-renowned singer, composer, poet and documentary producer Fabiola Méndez and her quartet performed in the Simons Center Recital Hall. Méndez has collaborated with major artists and institutions, including Bad Bunny, NPR Tiny Desk, the MET Museum and the Chicago Philharmonic, as well as productions on Disney+, PBS Kids and HBO Max.
