Appointments Open for State Optional Retirement Plan Participants
The Empower retirement plan advisor for the State ORP will be on campus for in-person meetings on Thursday, April 9.
It is always important to review your retirement strategy periodically to make sure you stay on track for your future.
Tracy Thrash, the retirement plan advisor with Empower Advisory Group for the South Carolina Optional Retirement Plan (ORP), will be on the College of Charleston campus for in-person meetings on Thursday, April 9. The individual meetings will be held in the Office of Human Resources (Lightsey Center, 160 Calhoun St.) conference room.
If you participate in the State ORP and use Empower as your provider, you may book an in-person appointment with Thrash to review your account and review your retirement goals.
During your meeting, Thrash will:
- Answer your questions and discuss whether any changes in your strategy are appropriate to keep you on track for your future,
- Review your savings level and investments and determine whether it might be appropriate to make any changes,
- Help you determine a possible retirement age, and
- Help you look at your income sources to give you a complete picture of your progress toward your future needs.
