SAC Invites CofC Employees to CofC Giving Day Drop-In
Both staff and faculty are invited to this special CofC Giving Day drop-in, hosted by the Staff Advisory Committee to the President.

The Staff Advisory Committee to the President (SAC) is inviting both staff and faculty to a special spring drop-in on CofC Giving Day, Thursday, March 19, 2026. The drop-in will take place from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. in the Sottile House yard (11 College Way).
The drop-In provides a brief pause in the workday and an opportunity to connect with colleagues, strengthen community and engage in CofC Giving Day in ways that are meaningful to you. Come celebrate community, connection, gratitude and giving with SAC!
Faculty and staff may stop by at any point during the event window and choose to participate in one or more of the following:
- Enjoy light food (while supplies last), yard games and informal time with colleagues.
- Make a CofC Giving Day donation to any fund or area across the College.
- Bring nonperishable or canned goods to support the Cougar Pantry, which will be on site.
- Visit the Denny’s Fund table to learn more about the only campus fund dedicated to staff and faculty wellbeing, happiness and connection.
At the Denny’s FUNd table, you may also build your own bouquet (while fresh flowers/supplies last!); handwrite or type out on a vintage typewriter a note to recognize colleagues; enter the Denny’s FUNd Raffle for a chance to win a fully sponsored group experience that fosters connection and offers something delightfully out of the ordinary; and explore The Cistern Standard campaign and other tools and resources that the Office of Human Resources has in place to support employee growth, development and success.
You are encouraged to RSVP by March 13 through the CofC Giving Day Staff and Faculty Drop-In RSVP Form.
SAC represents employees across all units of the College, including approximately 1,000 full- and part-time exempt and nonexempt staff members. The purpose of SAC is to advise the president about staff opinions concerning matters of importance to the staff and institution, to receive the president’s requests for advice and counsel regarding matters relevant to the staff, to increase awareness of the staff’s contributions to the College, to promote the recognition of outstanding staff and to advocate for ongoing initiatives supporting employee success and wellbeing.
