Get ready to have a positive impact on the College of Charleston during its seventh annual CofC Giving Day. On Thursday, March 19, 2026, campus will be abuzz with festive activities and opportunities to contribute to the College’s mission and initiatives in a real and lasting manner.

This year’s theme – “Rooted in Tradition. Transformative in Giving.” – includes ways to positively impact student success, academic programs, experiential learning, research, career-readiness, innovative teaching methods, employee experience, interdisciplinary programs and much more.

CofC Giving Day is an opportunity for everyone to give back to whatever school, department, club, team, center, cause or office makes the College of Charleston special to them. To find the fund that speaks to you, visit giving.charleston.edu. From there, you may also search for funds to support.

The day’s signature event will take place from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Cistern Yard, featuring food trucks, games and interactive experiences. The College’s schools and units will also host their own celebrations, encouraging students, employees, alumni and friends of the university to give generously throughout the 24-hour experience.

CofC Giving Day is not only an opportunity to raise money to support students through scholarships, financial aid, research and athletics, it’s also a way for alumni to reconnect with their beloved alma mater and share in the many exciting advancements happening at the university.

“Tuition and government funding do not fully cover many of the initiatives that are so critical to the College’s mission,” says Kevin Ragusa, senior director of annual giving programs. “Philanthropic support helps bridge the gaps by funding priorities such as scholarships, endowed professorships, research initiatives, improvements to campus facilities and the overall student experience.”

The day of giving will also foster engagement and strengthen school pride.

“On March 19, we’ll all have the chance to display our shared commitment to the College’s mission and values,” Ragusa says.

Those who are not able to come to campus on March 19 will still be able to participate in Giving Day. Extensive outreach to alumni and supporters worldwide is already underway through direct mail, email, social media and text messaging. In addition, events are planned in key alumni regions to ensure that everyone can be part of Giving Day. Check out the CofC Giving Day events here.
