Job title: Project Manager, Architecture and Engineering, Facilities Management
How long have you worked at the College? About 14 months
What are your job responsibilities? My job varies from small to large projects. And involves managing design and construction from concept to completion.
What do you like most about your job? What I enjoy most is the people I work with. From my associates to contractors, and ultimately the clients. I also enjoy creating and delivering projects that we can all be proud of for years to come.
What question do you get asked most in your job and what’s your typical answer? I typically say, “I find solutions.” But it’s a pretty broad scope, requiring a few hats ….
What’s your favorite location on campus and why? The live oaks behind Porter’s Lodge. Especially at Christmas time!
What are your hobbies? I’m an autodidact, so I read a lot. I started playing golf again. And exploring places people don’t normally go.
What personal and/or professional accomplishment are you most proud of? Building over 400 projects where people can live and work in a safe and healthy environment
Name a creative work (book, movie, performance, etc.) you enjoyed recently and why? Well, I alternate nonfiction and fiction. Just finished Never Split the Difference, and currently reading Storm Watch by C. J. Box.
What was your favorite TV show growing up? Magnum, P.I.
What’s next on your bucket list? Colombia, South America, with friends and family
What is something your campus colleagues would be surprised to know about you? I used to be a pilot.
What was your first job? Paperboy in the seventh grade. The snow was deeper than I was tall.
What’s your favorite Lowcountry restaurant? Hmm … Husk.
Describe your perfect day: Up at 4:30, meditate, read, then coffee. From there, anything involving my family and close friends.
