The College of Charleston Board of Trustees will hold a meeting on Thursday, Jan. 15 and Friday, Jan. 16, 2026.  

The meetings will begin at 8:30 a.m. each day in Alumni Hall (66 George St.) and via Zoom Video Conference. 

Please note: Media wishing to attend by Zoom, please provide your phone number in an email to [email protected] by Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026, at 8 a.m. so we may recognize your organization and allow you to enter the meeting in an efficient manner.

  • Receipt of legal advice where the legal advice relates to a pending, threatened, or potential claim or other matters covered by the attorney-client privilege   
  • Discussion of negotiations incident to proposed contractual arrangements and proposed purchase/lease of property and receipt of legal advice concerning the new Business School Building  
  • Consideration of Candidates’ Qualifications for Commencement Speakers and Candidates’ Qualifications for Honorary Degrees 
  • Employee records – legal matters and executive contract negotiations – personnel matters 
  • Personnel matters – legal matters covered by attorney-client privilege 
  • Discussion of trade secrets and receipt of legal advice relating to or concerning  
  • Enrollment Management and Campaign and Naming Opportunities        
  • On returning to open session, action may be taken on the items discussed during the executive session
