Name: Dee Marsh
Hometown: Whiteville, North Carolina

Job title: Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative
How long have you worked at the College? January 8, 2026, will be one year!
What are your job responsibilities? I receive and process maintenance requests. I serve as the main point of contact between facility users and our maintenance staff. I also maintain accurate records of all service requests and provide outstanding customer service.
What do you like most about your job? The people. I love helping people. Small actions can make a big impression.
What question do you get asked most in your job and what’s your typical answer? How fast will someone come out to respond to their work order request? We’re on it, but it might take us a little extra time. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
What’s your favorite location on campus and why? The Cistern Yard. It’s a beautiful, tranquil place where the air feels softer, the colors seem richer and the time slows down just enough to let you breathe.
What are your hobbies? I enjoy playing basketball and playing the Wii.
What personal and/or professional accomplishments are you most proud of? Being a mother. My daughter Dakota is a brave, caring and determined young woman whose resilience inspires everyone around her. She faces challenges with courage, leads with kindness and never gives up. Her strength and heart amaze me every day.
Name a creative work (book, movie, performance, etc.) you enjoyed recently and why? Getting Through What You Can’t Get Over, by Alexa Keating. This book has brought me comfort and strength as I cope with the loss of my son.

What’s next on your bucket list? I want to start my own business.
What is something your campus colleagues would be surprised to know about you? I’m OCD; I wash three times a day.
What was your first job? Footlocker. I think that’s when I developed a love for sneakers, because now I have well over 100 pairs.
What’s your favorite Lowcountry restaurant? I’m not big on food, I just eat to live.
Describe your perfect day: A perfect day for me starts with going to church with my family, worshiping together, and feeling grateful for our blessings. Afterward, we spend time together sharing a meal, laughing and just enjoying each other’s company. It’s a day filled with faith, love and peace.
