College of Charleston Photos of the Week
Whether on the pickleball courts, on the Charleston Harbor or in the lab, College of Charleston students are keeping busy this semester!

Leslie Hart, associate professor of public health sciences, and graduate students Kylie Warden and Madison McKnight joined the National Marine Mammal Foundation on the Charleston Harbor to identify and study local and visiting dolphin populations. (Permit No. 24359; Photos by Catie Cleveland)

Back in the lab, Leslie Hart works with students to test samples under microscopes. The HOPE (Hypothesizing Onehealth Pollution Effects) research lab studies exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals and microplastics in humans and dolphins, providing an opportunity to examine the connections between oceans and human health.
