Taryn Barbot was named CAA Player of the Year, and Taylor Barbot earned All-CAA Third Team honors.

Two Cougars received postseason honors as announced by the conference on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. Highlighting the list is Taryn Barbot, earning the CofC women’s basketball program’s first CAA Player of the Year award. Taylor Barbot joined the list with All-CAA Third Team honors.

Tabbed the CAA Preseason Player of the Year, Taryn Barbot lived up to expectations, ranking second in the conference with 16.6 points per game. Last season’s CAA Rookie of the Year also earned a spot on the All-CAA Defensive Team and All-CAA First Team.

Taylor Barbot took home her first postseason honors after finishing the regular season averaging 12.0 points per game. Taking the role as the starting point guard, the New York native tallied 21 double-digit scoring games, tallying her career-high assist record of 12 two times in conference play. Barbot started all 29 regular games this season, assisting the team to one of their best records in program history.

Charleston returns to the court on Friday, March 14, in the Quarterfinals of the CAA Tournament. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
