President Andrew T. Hsu has been named one of Charleston's 50 Most Influential People for 2024 by "Charleston Business Magazine."

The College of Charleston is proud to announce that President Andrew T. Hsu has been named one of Charleston’s 50 Most Influential People for 2024 by Charleston Business Magazine.

Hsu, who has been leading the College of Charleston since May 2019, has made significant contributions to the institution and the broader Charleston community. During his tenure, the College has seen remarkable growth in applications, enrollments, academic distinction, student success initiatives, community engagement and innovation. His commitment to fostering a culture of academic rigor and wider access has positioned the College as a leading institution in the region.

“I am deeply honored to be recognized among such distinguished leaders in Charleston,” says Hsu. “It has been an honor to partner with such talented faculty, staff and volunteer leaders to elevate the College of Charleston’s visibility and brand to even greater heights.
