The College of Charleston proudly welcomed its inaugural Executive MBA (EMBA) cohort during Residency Week (Jan. 3-7), marking the beginning of their transformative 18-month journey to earning a nationally recognized MBA degree.

The dynamic group consists of 16 leaders from diverse industries and backgrounds, including three U.S. military veterans. Their professional affiliations include organizations such as Blackbaud, Boeing, South Carolina Ports, Charleston County Aviation Authority and Lenovo.

Residency Week offered a variety of enriching experiences, including a visit to Charleston City Hall, where students engaged with Councilman Mike Seekings. Additionally, through a partnership with Wisdom Works Group, participants explored key leadership concepts and honed their personal and professional skills to thrive in executive roles.

As the only EMBA program in South Carolina, it combines rigorous academics with the flexibility to accommodate demanding schedules. The program features a dynamic mix of in-person and self-paced, online learning complemented by 12 weekend in-person sessions and two immersive weeklong residency periods on the College of Charleston campus.

The application for the spring 2026 cohort is open until Nov. 1, 2025. To learn more, visit go.charleston.edu/emba.
