Make Changes During State ORP Open Enrollment Period
The annual open enrollment period for all participants of the State ORP is from Jan. 1, 2025, to March 1, 2025.
The annual open enrollment period for all participants of the State Optional Retirement Program (State ORP) is from Jan. 1, 2025, to March 1, 2025. During this time, State ORP participants may change their service provider or, if eligible, may irrevocably elect to participate in the South Carolina Retirement System (SCRS). Changes made during the annual open enrollment period become effective on April 1, 2025.
State ORP participants are eligible to change from ORP to SCRS during the open enrollment period provided it has been at least one year, but less than five years since their initial enrollment in the State ORP program.
