The College of Charleston men's golf team set a new CAA Championship record at 35-under to secure the program's seventh CAA title on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

The College of Charleston men’s golf team set a new CAA Championship record at 35-under to secure the program’s seventh CAA title on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the Dataw Island Club.

The Cougars entered the day four strokes behind Elon. Charleston surged ahead of the competition during the final round, winning by seven strokes over the Phoenix. The title is the third for the Cougars under head coach Mitch Krywulycz.

Kieron van Wyk and Zach Reuland tied for the individual medalist honors, marking the second individual title for both golfers. van Wyk last won in 2022 while Reuland took the title in 2021. They tied the tournament record set by their own previous winning performances at Dataw Island.

The Cougars advance to the NCAA Regionals and will find out their destination on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 2 p.m. on the Golf Channel.
